Chicago Animal Care & Control is a municipal open-admission control and sheltering facility that cannot accept monetary donations. But over the last four years, we have officially collected just under $10,000 worth of specialty items for CACC. We just love CACC. Period.

Whether you are a doting pet parent or just a regular fan of any and all Chicagoland dogs, seeing a report like that can really tug at the heartstrings. The efforts of no-kill shelters and spay + neuter programs have gone a long way to cut down on euthanization in this city, however, we still have much further to go. The other day I sat down to get some work done for Rover-Time and found a poorly spelled list on the screen. Chauncey, my dog, pulled out his administrative skills once again to share his most sincere holiday wishes.
