Irving Park
Most known for its old buildings and 19th-century architecture, Irving is an ideal location for strolling the streets and admiring architecture. It is no wonder that the Irving Park Historical Society was created to preserve many of the old buildings in the area. The quiet neighborhood is great for families and dogs that aren’t feeling the urban energy of other Chicago neighborhoods. Perfect for dogs that love spending time outside, Irving Park established their own park district in 1910 and created eight local parks. The largest of those parks is Independence Park, which many consider being one of the finest landscaped parks in the city. From Irving Parks dog stores like Pet Supplies Plus, great beautiful old homes to pristine parks, the community makes for a fantastic venue to exercise and socialize with your dog.
